Sana Syed, MD, MS
Dr. Sana Syed is a Global Health Scientist with a background in pediatrics, gastroenterology & nutrition and global health/epidemiology. She is on faculty at the University of Virginia in the Center for Global Health with an adjunct faculty appointment at the Aga Khan University, Department of Pediatrics and Child Health, Karachi, Pakistan with the overarching goal to study small intestinal structure and function in children who experience growth and vaccine failure in low- and middle-income countries around the world.
Don Brown, PhD
Dr. Brown is Professor of the Department of Systems and Information Engineering, University of Virginia. Prior to joining the University of Virginia, Dr. Brown served as an officer in the U.S. Army and later worked at Vector Research, Inc. on projects in medical information processing and multi-sensor surveillance systems. He is now President of Commonwealth Computer Research, Inc. which provides data analysis and technical services for numerous private and governmental organizations.
Administrative Assistant/Fellowship Coordinator
Prior to her rich 13 year history in Pediatrics, Wendy is extremely honored to have already served 30 years at UVA, during which time she has flourished and had a positive impact. Wendy is a Virginia native; she was actually born at UVA Hospital and feels this is a sign she is meant to be here! Wendy is happily married to Tim(retired), and enjoys quality time with him in rural New Canton.
