Oxidative stress is a hallmark of many diseases and cell stress. While green fluorescent proteins are widely used, red and far-red fluorescent proteins can provide strong alternatives for monitoring oxidative stress by reducing autofluorescence and offering multicolor imaging. I hope to assist in the laboratory’s projects developing these biosensors and, in my time, I hope to learn more about molecular biology research!
