Hobbies/Outside Interests: Hiking and camping – builds character, not just back pain. Running – former IronMan triathlete. Culinary mushroom cultivation – pink oysters taste like bacon! Pickleball enthusiast. Binging good TV shows (favorites being Breaking Bad, The Office, Severance, and most recently Shrinking). Watching my Buffalo Bills lose in heartbreaking fashion every year.

Why did you choose UVA? As a medical student, it was clear to me that the anesthesiology residents at UVA were not only extremely confident and capable by the end of their training, but also that the department as a whole fosters a genuinely supportive and positive community. I like that UVA Anesthesia will continuously challenge me to grow while also looking out for my wellbeing.

Anesthesiology Interests: Everything! If I do pursue a fellowship, I think it would most likely be in regional or cardiac anesthesia, but it’s too soon to tell.
