Why did you choose UVA? UVA provided an ideal blend of rigorous clinical training and academic opportunities while being close to family support. Getting extensive anesthesiology time as an intern was also a huge bonus and helped differentiate UVA from other programs. Lastly, between the open house and interview day, it was clear that the program had an excellent culture and the residents genuinely enjoyed spending time with each other.
