Hobbies/Outside Interests: I enjoy volunteering, cooking/baking, art/crafting, and staying active (hiking, swimming, biking, gardening, pickleball, etc). I have a large collection of pins and loose leaf teas and am an avid college basketball fan.

Favorite things to do in Charlottesville: I’m excited to meet new people and explore the area in general! I’m especially looking forward to hiking in Shenandoah National Park.

Why did you choose UVA?The UVA culture really stood out to me on interview day. The residents seemed to genuinely care about each other and enjoy spending time together. This, combined with the program rigor and proximity to my support system made it the perfect program for me. I knew that this was a place that I would get great training and support.

Bonus points: the six months of anesthesia in intern year, complex pediatric exposure, being able to picture myself living in Charlottesville

Anesthesiology Interests: I have an early interest in pediatric anesthesia, but I’m keeping an open mind as I start my training.

Favorite Rotation: My favorite rotation in medical school was my away rotation at a community hospital. There were no other learners there, which afforded me the opportunity to really “get my hands dirty”. It was awesome!
