
We are pleased to announce that Lindsey Sites, MSN, CRNA has been selected to step into the role of CRNA Director for Perioperative Services effective March 1, after serving as Interim CRNA Director since 2020.
Lindsey was born and raised in Charlottesville, and her connection to UVA runs deep—both of her parents are UVA graduates, and she proudly continued the legacy by earning her BSN from the UVA School of Nursing. With 22 years of experience as an RN and 16 years as a CRNA, Lindsey has built an extraordinary career grounded in clinical excellence, compassionate care, and unwavering dedication. She began her CRNA journey as a new graduate in 2010 and has been elevating the profession ever since.
Lindsey’s exceptional leadership spans her service as Assistant Chief CRNA from 2016–2020 and Interim Chief/Director from 2020–2026, guiding teams through the COVID-19 pandemic and major workforce rebuilding. She strengthened the Medical Center through key committee leadership, founding the Orientation/Onboarding Committee and co-authoring the Anesthesia Provider Redeployment Plan — underscoring her innovation and commitment to patient safety. Her passion for sustainability, peer support, and Quality Improvement brings both heart and vision to her work, and her influence is felt throughout Perioperative Services and beyond.
