Meredith Kato, MD
Dr. Meredith Kato is a pediatric anesthesiologist and spent the last ten years in Portland, OR at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital of Oregon Health & Science University. There, she served as the physician informaticist for the Department of Anesthesiology. Her current research interests include the clinical impact of information technology outages and the effect of socioeconomic factors on anesthesia outcomes in children. She completed her anesthesiology residency at Weill Cornell Medical College and her pediatric anesthesiology fellowship at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. She performs anesthesia for surgeries in ENT, gastroenterology, general surgery, interventional radiology, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, oral and maxillofacial surgery, pediatric sedation and urology. She enjoys the special challenges and joys of caring for pediatric patients. In her spare time, Dr. Kato enjoys hiking, running and spending time with her husband, two daughters and dog, Brando.
