Congratulations to Dr. Bob Goldstein, MD and the UVA Health Team that hosted a free drive-through Prescription Drug Take-Back Event on Saturday, April 27th, 2024 at a drop-off lane outside the UVA Health Education Resource Center.\u00a0 The successful event gave a safe way to dispose of unused or old prescription drugs that often sit around at home. According to Dr. Goldstein, these drugs can cause harm through misuse or being consumed by accident. Or if they are flushed down toilets, or leak into landfills, they cause environmental harm and contaminate the water supply.<\/p>\n
