Dr. Zaaqoq, an esteemed Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at UVA, brings a wealth of expertise to this critical role, including extensive experience in caring for critically ill surgical patients and managing mechanical circulatory support devices, such as ECMO. In this role, Dr. Zaaqoq will be responsible for overseeing the clinical operations of the TCV ICU, ensuring the delivery of exceptional, patient-centered care, and leading a multidisciplinary team in managing complex cardiothoracic and vascular cases.
