Our Cardiac Anesthesiology Division has earned Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC)<\/a> accreditation in Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE), making us one of the first facilities in the nation to receive this designation. This achievement reflects our commitment to excellence, quality, and patient-centered care in perioperative echocardiography.<\/p>\n

Perioperative transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) is a cardiac imaging technique used by anesthesiologists and other physicians during surgery or in the ICU to obtain real-time, high-resolution views of the heart. It enables assessment of cardiac structure and function as well as a patient\u2019s hemodynamic status, helping clinicians diagnose problems such as tamponade or intracardiac thrombus and guide urgent interventions in cases of valve disease, heart failure, or unexplained instability\u2014particularly during complex cardiac procedures and high-risk non-cardiac surgeries.<\/p>\n
