Aasritha is a 4th year double major in Biology and Cognitive science with a History minor. She was born in Portland, Oregon and raised in Bangalore, India. After graduation, she plans to pursue a career in Mental Health Counseling. Outside of school, she is part of Ektaal A Cappella (UVa’s only South Asian fusion A Cappella group) where she is also the technology chair. Aasritha is the social media engagement chair of Dil to Dil, and NPO that focuses on de-stigmatizing mental health in south asian communities, the Cognitive Science Department Representative for the UVA college council, and she is a professional Indian classical dancer.
