The Department of Psychiatry seeks Native American Women and others who can become pregnant, ages 18-44, who read and speak English, for a research study.<\/p>\n

The purpose of the study is to gather information to design a digital intervention (used on mobile phones, tablets, or computers) for Native American women that will help them avoid a pregnancy affected by alcohol (AEP). There are currently two parts open:<\/p>\n

Survey:
\nThis study involves answering a brief eligibility questionnaire online, one phone call with the study coordinator to confirm eligibility and to complete an electronic consent form, and answering questions in an online survey. The survey should take about 35 minutes to complete. Compensation for survey completion is a $20 e-gift card.

User testing:
\nParticipants will be randomized to use a preliminary intervention component for 6 weeks. These may include monthly\u00a0telephone calls<\/strong>\u00a0about drinking and contraception behavior; receiving monthly\u00a0pregnancy tests\u00a0<\/strong>by mail; access to\u00a0digital training<\/strong>\u00a0in safer sex and reduced drinking; access to\u00a0text messages<\/strong>\u00a0about safer sex and drinking reduction, or access to an anonymous\u00a0community message board<\/strong>\u00a0for social support.<\/p>\n

Total compensation for participation is $100, paid by e-gift card. Compensation will be $25 for completing the baseline survey and $75 for completing the 6-week assessments.
