The article received significant attention and views on the SBM website, an accomplishment that resulted in Wiseman and her colleagues being honored with a SBM 2026 Leading the Narrative Award. In addition to Wiseman, her co-authors and co-recipients of the award include Amy McQueen, PhD, from Washington University in St. Louis, Nadia A. Sesay, MA, a doctoral student at the University of Kentucky, and Jennifer L.
