Dr. Taylor, a pediatrician and adolescent medicine specialist, explained the challenge of explaining to parents what the test means\u2014since most children who test positive won\u2019t actually get the disease and some who have negative results will.\u00a0 \u201cIt is a lot of uncertainty you are trying to communicate, and the risk is not easy to grasp unless you are a statistician or a numbers person, which I am not!\u201d Dr. Taylor also serves as a member of the Ethics Consult Service and Ethics Committee at the Center.
