The Roadmap follows on our 2022 recognition as Virginia’s first NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. The major goals of the Roadmap are to:

  • Promote discovery across the cancer research continuum
  • Facilitate impactful transdisciplinary and translational research
  • Advance cancer prevention, control, and survivorship initiatives and catalyze research relevant to the catchment area
  • Integrate training and education to support and enhance the scientific mission of the UVACCC
