Averett University: Pittsylvania County a “high-risk zone” for radon

Students from Averett University are raising awareness among their classmates about the potential dangers of radon exposure.

Marketing students are working with the Dan River Cancer Task Force to educate their peers about radon and how to detect it. The students found that apartment residences – which are likely to be rented by Averett students – are among buildings the National Center for Healthy Housing recommends for radon testing.
