Medical Grand Rounds: Maintenance of Certification (MOC)

INSTRUCTIONS:

To claim both ABIM MOC and CME credit at the same time please click on the link to the “ABIM MOC (and CME credit) Assessment” below for each date.  Complete the assessment and submit it.  NOTE: You do not need to print your certificate as the CME credits will automatically be added to your transcript.  The CME Office will post ABIM points within 60 days of each conference.  NOTE: ABIM points will be only visible to you on your ABIM portal only and will not show up on your CME transcript.

Assessments for each Medical Grand Rounds will only be available for 30 days after the program date.

GENERAL INFORMATION

This Medical Grand Rounds initiative is designed as a self-assessment activity. The content presented in Medical Grand Rounds creates a broad base of knowledge that is essential to maintain competence and to identify areas for continued professional development.

This website provides a listing of Medical Grand Rounds presentations with the date, presenter (with biographical and conflict of interest (COI) information) and a copy of the key messages and/or the presentations for your reference.  This information will be followed by assessments of the content presented at Medical Grand Rounds and requires a passing score of 80%. Participation in sessions listed below will provide AMA PRA Category 1 credit™ and American Board of Internal Medicine MOC Part 2 points.

ACCREDITATION STATEMENTS 

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 1.0 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
The University of Virginia School of Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The University of Virginia School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.TM   Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
The University of Virginia School of Medicine awards 1.0 hour of participation (equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.TM ) to each non-physician participant who successfully completes this educational activity. The University of Virginia School of Medicine maintains a record of participation for six (6) years.
