A. Yes, you will earn AMA PRA Category 1 CME credit™ (or hours of participation if not an MD-Faculty) by attending Surgery Grand Rounds, signing in and completing the quarterly evaluations via links sent to you by email. But you will not earn MOC (Maintenance of Certification) part II self-assessment credits unless you pass the assessments.
Q. What should I do if I don’t pass an assessment at 80% or higher?
A. Each participant will be allowed to re-take each assessment as many times as you need in order to pass.

A. When prompted to Print Certificate please print it if you wish to have a copy. Note: This information is also transferred to your educational transcript available ’24/7′ on the UVA CME homepage www.cmevillage.com by following the transcript instructions.
Q. Why were these assessments for UVA Surgery Grand Rounds created?
A. Due to the new requirement (as of July 1, 2012) that “60 of the 90 hours of CME completed over a three-year cycle must include a self-assessment” we created this website and assessments to provide UVA Faculty with self-assessment credit in an easy to access format.
Q. Who does the assessments for UVA Surgery Grand Rounds serve?
A. Its audience consists of all participants in UVA Surgery Grand Rounds. Surgeons, medical students, primary care providers, referring physicians, and allied health professionals.
Q. Will my AMA PRA Category 1 Credits (CME credits) and Hours of Participation (HOPs) be tracked for me?
A. Yes, CME credits and hours of participation for non-MDs are automatically tracked after signing in at Surgery Grand Rounds. You can print a formatted certificate acknowledging receipt of your credits from the University of Virginia School of Medicine, an ACCME accredited provider 24/7 by accessing www.cmevillage.com and following the transcript instructions.
