Biography
Barbara Braunstein Wilson was born in New York and received her BA at Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts. She earned her medical degree in Internal Medicine and residency in Dermatology at the University of Virginia. She joined the faculty at Johns Hopkins University for 5 years before returning to the University of Virginia where she has been on the faculty since 1987. She practices general dermatology and her areas of expertise include vulvar dermatology, pulsed dye laser, rosacea and Demodex related conditions.
Dr. Wilson is the proud mother of six children and two spoiled pug dogs. She enjoys following her sons’ bands; Sons of Bill (3 oldest sons), and Gallatin Canyon (4th son). She also enjoys gardening and bird watching.
