\nDr. Russell specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of common and uncommon skin cancers including Basal Cell Carcinoma, Squamous Cell Carcinoma, Melanoma, Atypical fibroxanthoma, dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans, microcystic adnexal carcinoma, sebaceous carcinoma, and other rare skin tumors.\u00a0 He also treats nail tumors and rhinophyma<\/p>\n
\nDr. Russell was born and raised in central Ohio. He graduated from the Ohio State University with a BS in Nutrition and his medical degree. After graduating medical school, Dr. Russell completed his internship at Riverside Methodist hospital in Columbus, Ohio before completing his residency in Dermatology at Vanderbilt University. After residency, Dr. Russell completed\u00a0a fellowship in Mohs and Dermotologic Surgery at Vanderbilt, followed by a fellowship in Dermatopathology at the University of Virginia.\u00a0 He is an expert in the Mohs technique and one of the few fellowship-trained Mohs surgeons who is also board-certified in Dermatology and Dermatopathology.\u00a0 Dr. Russell has lectured nationally and has published numerous articles.\u00a0 He has completed leadership courses through the University of Virginia and the American Academy of Dermatology, and has held national office at the American College of Mohs Surgery.\u00a0 He has won the Dean’s Award for Clinical Excellence at the University of Virginia, and has been awarded Best Doctor, Top Doctor, and Top Doctor for Cancer recognition.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
