From personal experience Lianna\u2019s dreams, desires and passion to help others\u00a0<\/span><span data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">with Diabetes has finally come true. She never thought that one day she would take part in lessening the burdens of Diabetes and hopefully one\u00a0<\/span><span data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">day contribute to the cure for Type 1 Diabetes.\u00a0<\/span>\u200b<\/p>\n<p data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:1,&quot;335551620&quot;:1,&quot;335559683&quot;:0,&quot;335559685&quot;:0,&quot;335559731&quot;:0,&quot;335559737&quot;:0,&quot;335562764&quot;:2,&quot;335562765&quot;:1,&quot;335562766&quot;:4,&quot;335562767&quot;:0,&quot;335562768&quot;:4,&quot;335562769&quot;:0}\"><span data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">Lianna grew up on Long Island NY, not loving the hustle and bustle of the big city, she attended college at Radford University in Virginia and\u00a0<\/span><span data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">graduated with a BS in Recreation Management and Leisure Services. In the year 2000, after graduating from Radford she moved to\u00a0<\/span><span data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">Charlottesville where she had a successful career as a Recreational Supervisor for the City of Charlottesville Parks and Recreation for 15 years.\u00a0<\/span><span data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">Even though her career was exciting and memorable, Lianna longed for something else that she felt would hopefully be \u201cThe Dream Job\u201d where\u00a0<\/span><span data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">she would be able to better other people\u2019s lives in the medical field. She furthered her education and had other jobs dealing with medical\u00a0<\/span><span data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">billing and coding, administrative medical assistant and patient care, but still she felt this was not enough. In January 2018, Lianna landed a\u00a0<\/span><span data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">career for UVA Continuum Home Health Care as an Administrative Assistant. Her supervisor at Continuum always encouraged Lianna to take as\u00a0<\/span><span data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">many educational classes as she could and always better herself. Through her pursuit of becoming the best she can, Lianna came across the\u00a0<\/span><span data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">Center for Diabetes Technology and started to investigate the role of a Clinical Research Coordinator. Lianna\u2019s patients and aspirations payed off\u00a0<\/span><span data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\">and she is now fulfilling her dream.\u00a0<\/span>\u200b<\/p>\n<p><strong>Personal Activities:<\/strong><br \/>\n<span class=\"TextRun SCXP246526044 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXP246526044 BCX0\">Lianna has a wonderful loving husband and a vivacious teenaged daughter. They live in Charlottesville including their 2 dogs and their 2 frisky <\/span><\/span><span class=\"TextRun SCXP246526044 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXP246526044 BCX0\">cats. When she has some extra time on her hands away from her busy family life and career, Lianna loves to go hiking, camping, create\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span class=\"TextRun SCXP246526044 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXP246526044 BCX0\">masterpieces of different types of arts and crafts with her daughter,\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"ContextualSpellingAndGrammarError SCXP246526044 BCX0\">cooks<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXP246526044 BCX0\">\u00a0gourmet meals and loves to travel especially taking cruises to the\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span class=\"TextRun SCXP246526044 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-usefontface=\"true\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXP246526044 BCX0\">Caribbean.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span class=\"EOP SCXP246526044 BCX0\">\u200b<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Clinical Research Coordinator Email: lhs7px@uvahealth.org Office: Center for Diabetes Technology 560 Ray C.
