Madison joined the Center for Diabetes Technology in June 2021 while completing her graduate studies at the University of Virginia. As a Data Operations and Research Member, she developed strong expertise in the medical device industry, with a focus on the operation and support of branded diabetes technologies. She partnered with the Data team to design a more efficient inventory management system, including authoring standard operating procedures to streamline workflows and ensure compliance. Madison managed inventory and supplies for multiple clinical trials, overseeing organization, intake, database control, allocation, shipping, and weekly and annual audits. She also served as a Tier-2 Technician for two on-site clinical trials, where she monitored research participants and troubleshot medical devices to ensure protocol adherence and participant safety. In addition, Madison trained new hires, interns, and students on diabetes technologies, devices, software, and supply processes.<\/p>\n

In September 2022, Madison joined the Center full-time as a Project Associate. In this role, she manages the Center\u2019s digital presence across the website, Facebook, and Twitter, ensuring timely, accurate, and engaging communication with internal and external audiences. Madison coordinates the Center\u2019s Distinguished Speaker Series, hosting monthly industry leaders and managing all aspects of their visits, including travel and lodging arrangements, itineraries, meeting schedules, event promotions, calendar invites, and hosted meals. She also co-manages all agreement and contract administration for the Center, project managing pending agreements and contracts in close coordination with the grant manager. In addition, Madison oversees all projects and engagements for key industry partners, serving as the primary point of contact for activities involving these clients. She leads community outreach initiatives, representing the Center at local diabetes support groups and planning annual fundraising walks that raise more than $25,000 each year. Madison also organizes internal events, including birthdays, retirements, and holiday celebrations, helping foster a positive and connected workplace culture.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Personal Activities:<\/b><\/h4>\n
In Madison\u2019s free time, she enjoys experiencing new foods and activities. She loves to travel and tries to go to a new country every year. She also loves all forms of photography and painting.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
