The Biomedical Sciences (BIMS) graduate program at the University of Virginia is a vibrant interdisciplinary PhD program committed to equipping students for their quest to become the next generation of scientific leaders. This goal is achieved through an individualized curriculum designed to provide every student with the fundamental knowledge and scientific skills essential for success in their chosen field. Our BIMS students benefit from exposure to clinical and translational aspects of disease through numerous opportunities to interact with the clinical faculty and health care teams in the UVA Health System.
