Dr. Margaret Sande Margaret K. Sande, MD, associate professor of emergency medicine and biomedical engineering and patient safety officer at UVA Health, has been elected as a member of the American Red Cross Scientific Advisory Council. Dr. Sande’s selection to this distinguished panel of national and international experts reflects her deep commitment to advancing evidence-based emergency care and safety science. The American Red Cross Scientific Advisory Council is a panel of leading medical, scientific, aquatics, and academic professionals who ensure that American Red Cross programs are founded in the latest and most rigorous scientific research.
