Description
The Kadner Symposium in Microbiology honors the legacy of Dr. Robert J. Kadner, whose contributions to science, teaching, and mentorship had a lasting impact on microbiology and on our UVA community. As we mark 20 years since the first Kadner Symposium, this year’s symposium, “The Microbial Arms Race: Virulence, Host Defense, and Therapeutic Innovation” will bring together four speakers to explore how clinically important pathogens survive in the host, evade immune defenses, and cause disease, as well as how understanding these interactions can inform new approaches to treating infection.
Please RSVP for lunch and/or reception.
