Join Dr. Sharon L. Hostler for a fireside-style conversation about her memoir, Making Rounds: Love, Loss, and Lessons Learned from an Indomitable Woman in Medicine (UVA Press). In conversation with Professor Dominique Tobbell, Dr. Hostler will reflect on her journey from medical student to a pioneering leader in academic medicine at the University of Virginia. Their discussion will explore the personal and professional challenges she encountered, as well as the ways race, gender, and class shaped medicine and healthcare during her career.
