After review, 30 posters were accepted for presentation: 6 covering medical education research and 24 covering Innovations in Medical Education.\u00a0 Nineteen posters covered aspects of UME; twelve posters covered aspects of GME; one poster covered aspects of CME; four posters covered BIMS \u2013 PhD training. Three of the posters presented projects that were funded by the SoM ADE Medical Education Grants Program and two of the posters presented projects funded by the UVa SoM Educational Fellowship Program. Additional projects were supported by the Jefferson Trust, UVa Health System, American Academy of Neurology, American Brain Foundation, and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/virginia.box.com\/s\/9rpnonq2kx3vpa5hq7ltc7m7ojigsby2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CLICK HERE<\/a>\u00a0to access the index of posters presented and the poster abstracts.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As has become the custom, this year\u2019s poster session was part of an inclusive Medical Education Week of activities. Dr. Gerard Clancy, MD, Professor of Community Medicine and President of the University of Tulsa, was this year\u2019s special invited guest and the 8<sup>th<\/sup> recipient of the Anne L. Brodie Medical Education Scholar Award.\u00a0 As a part of this award, Dr. Clancy visited UVa for two full days and met with many groups at the School of\u00a0 Medicine. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/news.med.virginia.edu\/medicinematters\/uvasomrestriction\/public\/2017\/04\/10\/gerry-clancy-md-2017-brodie-medical-education-scholar\/\">CLICK HERE<\/a><\/strong> to learn more about Dr. Clancy&#8217;s visit.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, March 1, 2017, he gave the Brodie Medical Education Award Lecture at a combined Medical Center Hour\/Medicine Grand Rounds on <em>\u201cA Story of Success in Reversing Urban Health Disparities\u201d<\/em>.\u00a0 He also gave a talk on: \u201c<em>A City-wide Mental Illness Prevention Initiative<\/em>\u201d as a part of Psychiatry Grand Rounds.<\/p>\n<p>The annual ADE social event was held on Wednesday evening, March 1st, to honor Dr. Clancy as well as all of the UVa faculty, residents and students involved in medical education research and curriculum innovation; Dean David Wilkes presented remarks about the state of medical education at the UVa School of Medicine, followed by additional remarks by Dr. Clancy, this year\u2019s Brodie Award recipient.<\/p>\n<p>During Medical Education Week, four of the medical education research posters from the 2016 poster session were selected by a committee to be presented as 30 minute talks. Two of them were presented on Thursday (March 2<sup>nd<\/sup>) and two of them were presented on Friday (March 3<sup>rd<\/sup>) of Medical Education Week. The four talks were:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Drs. Huai Cheng and Elizabeth Bradley<\/strong>: &#8220;Effect of Teaching 4<sup>th<\/sup> Year Medical Students Value and Preference-Based Prescribing for Older Adults with Multimorbidity on Students\u2019 Practice Behavior:\u00a0 A Non-Randomized Controlled Trial&#8221;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Drs. Eve Privman, Dan Luftig, and Meg Keeley<\/strong>: &#8220;The Impact of Learning Communities on Medical Student Social and Educational Interpersonal Relationships&#8221;<em><br \/>\n<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Drs. Lauren Kline, Yasmin Banaei, Elizabeth Bradley, and Jim Martindale<\/strong>:\u00a0 &#8220;Evaluations and Grades on the Internal Medicine Clerkship: A Study in Variation and Correlation&#8221;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Drs. Danielle K.
