Poster abstracts were accepted in two different categories: 1) medical education research and 2) innovations in medical education. Thirty-one poster abstracts were submitted; 30 were reviewed and ranked by a committee. After review, 28 posters were accepted for presentation: 9 covering medical education research and 19 covering Innovations in Medical Education. Twenty-one posters covered aspects of UME; five posters covered aspects of GME; one poster covered aspects of CME; 2 posters covered BIMS \u2013 PhD training; two posters covered interprofessional education. Three of the posters presented projects that were funded by the ADE Medical Education Grants Program; three of the posters presented projects funded by the Arnold P. Gold Foundation; one poster described a project funded by the UVa Educational Fellowship Program; two posters were funded by UVa Innovations in GME grants (funded by the UVa Medical Center).<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/virginia.box.com\/s\/vpsgnfn8zzza26lzpx0cl2nw7htlfhl7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CLICK HERE\u00a0<\/a>to access the index of posters presented and the poster abstracts.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As has become the custom, this year\u2019s poster session was part of an inclusive Medical Education Week of activities. Dr. Paul Worley, Dean of the Medical School, Flinders University, Australia, was this year\u2019s special invited guest and the 7th recipient of the Anne L. Brodie Medical Education Scholar Award. As a part of this award, Dr. Worley visited UVa from Monday through Thursday of Medical education Week and met with many groups at the School of Medicine. President Sullivan hosted a \u201cJeffersonian Dinner\u201d at Carr\u2019s Hill with the topic of \u201cSocial Responsibility of Medical Schools.\u201d On Wednesday, March 2nd, he gave the Brodie Medical Education Award Lecture at Medical Center Hour on the subject of \u201cTransforming Clinical Education: Science, Service, Social Accountability\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The annual ADE social event was held on Wednesday evening, March 2nd, to honor Dr. Worley as well as all of the UVa faculty, residents and students involved in medical education research and curriculum innovation; Dean David Wilkes presented remarks about the state of medical education at UVa, followed by additional remarks by Dr. Worley, this year\u2019s Brodie Award recipient.<\/p>\n<p>During Medical Education Week, four of the medical education research posters from the 2015 poster session were selected by a committee to be presented as 30 minute talks. Two of them were presented on Tuesday (March 1st) and two of them were presented on Thursday (March 3rd) of Medical Education Week. The four talks were:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Helen Kim: <\/strong>&#8220;Adaptive versus Volume-Based Training in Surgical Simulation: A Randomized Controlled Trial and Cost-Effective Open Vessel Ligation Simulator Develops Transferrable Surgical Skills in Novice Trainees&#8221;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dr. Meg G. Keeley: <\/strong>&#8220;Competency-Based, Multimodal Assessment of Pediatric Otoscopy Skills: A Multi-Institutional, Cross-Specialty Study&#8221;<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Dr. Vaia T.
