By understanding the cell biology of lipids and membranes, we hope to identify targets for treatment of human diseases. &#013;&#010;&#013;&#010;Cell membranes are composites of biological macromolecules with a multitude of chemical interactions, which give rise to complex phase behaviors and physical properties.
