I am so excited to be a part of the UVA SOM Class of 2025! As a recent graduate of UVA (Class of 2021) and a native of nearby Staunton, Virginia, I am ecstatic to become a Double Hoo and call Charlottesville home for another four years. Although my undergraduate degree is in chemistry and I have spent many years conducting research with C. elegans, building meaningful and lasting connections with people is what I am truly passionate about. I am thrilled to be a member of the Generalist Scholars Program, and I intend to pursue a career in rural family medicine. As a first-generation student from a small town, rural populations hold a special place in my heart, and I hope to ultimately work with an underserved community similar to the one in which I grew up. Some of my favorite activities include playing fetch with my very hyper cat, hiking around our beautiful mountains, exploring the abundance of Charlottesville restaurants with my friends, and spending time with my grandparents. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this special community, and I cannot wait to see what this medical school journey holds!
