I have 3 younger siblings and both of my parents are physicians \u2013 my mom is an \u202a\u202aanesthesiologist and my dad is an ER physician. I attended the College of William and Mary and majored in Neuroscience with a minor in Philosophy. I felt drawn to medicine while volunteering at free clinics during college but wanted more clinical experience and exposure to the realities of working as a physician. During my two gap years before medical school, I volunteered at another free clinic and worked as a scribe in an ER and a Cardiology office. These experiences solidified that a career in medicine was the right choice for me and I\u2019m excited to be part of the Generalist Scholars Program at UVA. Outside of school, I love practicing yoga, traveling, and spending time with my family, friends, and dog.
