Dr. Chongzhi Zang<\/a> was recently awarded a K22 Transition Career Development grant from the National Cancer Institute (NCI), National Institutes of Health (NIH). The goal of his proposed project, titled “Quantitative Modeling for Chromatin Regulation of Gene Expression in Cancer”, is to design quantitative models and algorithms for studying dynamic regulation of gene expression in human cancer by integrating genome-wide chromatin profiling next-generation sequencing data. The grant starts September 1, 2017 and will last for three years. Started at CPHG in November 2016, the Zang Lab<\/a>\u00a0has a research program focusing on computational cancer epigenomics and biomedical big data analysis.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
