Economical Dorm Rooms in the Faulkner Complex at the University of Virginia

The University of Virginia is pleased to offer an economical on-Grounds housing option for participants of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Society for Developmental Biology Conference. We are offering single bedrooms in our Faulkner Apartments, which are located just a short five-minute walk from Darden, where the conference will take place. All apartments are four-bedroom units, so although guests will have a private bedroom, they will share a common living area, kitchen and bathroom with up to three other conference participants of the same gender. A linen packet will be provided to each guest which includes sheets, a pillow and pillowcase, blanket, bath towels, wash cloth and bath mat. Please note that unlike a hotel, these rooms are NOT equipped with hangers, irons, ironing boards, hair dryers, or lamps (overhead lighting only), and guests are responsible for supplying their own personal toiletry items including shampoo, soap, etc.

The rate for these single occupancy accommodations are $42 per person, per night, plus a one-time $20 linen fee. 5.3% sales tax will be added to the reservation.

All reservations, cancellations, and changes to the number of nights reserved must be made no later than May 9, 2018 to avoid a penalty. A cancellation fee of one-half the nightly room rate will be applied for each night cancelled after May 9, 2018. Cancellations after May 23, 2018 are not eligible for a refund.
