You are expected to use your own laptop or iPad that meets the following <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbme.org\/sites\/default\/files\/2022-06\/Web-Based_Testing_Requirements.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">requirements<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Installation Instructions for the Secure Browser<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to <a href=\"http:\/\/wbt.nbme.org\/exam\">wbt.nbme.org\/exam<\/a> to download the secure browser. If you are on Mac, make sure to download it from Safari or Chrome. At this time Firefox downloads are not recommended for Mac.<\/li>\n<li>Select \u201cContinue\u201d on the first page and then \u201cDownload\u201d<\/li>\n<li>If you are on a Mac move the downloaded application called \u201cMacSecureBrowser\u201d to your applications folder. If you are on Windows move the \u201cPCSecureBrowser\u201d application to somewhere you will remember (pin to start or taskbar, put it on the desktop or documents folder).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4 style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Laptop Certification<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The day before an examination you can use features within the secure browser to certify your personal laptop as suitable for the examination. Email <a href=\"mailto:mededweb@virginia.edu\">mededweb@virginia.edu<\/a> to setup a time to meet. Please do this at least a day prior to the exam.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">If the Med Ed IT staff is unable to fix a student computer problem, the student will be provided a loaner laptop on exam day. \u00a0In the event a loaner laptop is used, the student must bring their laptop back prior to the next scheduled exam so the Med Ed IT staff can spend more time diagnosing the problem.\u00a0 Email <a href=\"mailto:mededweb@virginia.edu\">mededweb@virginia.edu<\/a> to schedule a time to meet.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>On Test Day<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">In order to be ready to start the exam on time, please allow yourself an extra <strong>10 minutes<\/strong> to get settled and ensure your computer is connected to an appropriate wifi network (eduroam, hscs-wireless, or wahoo).
