The Cancer Research Institute (CRI) Irvington Postdoctoral Fellowship Program is CRI’s longest-standing continuous program. Postdoctoral fellowships provide support to fund and train young immunologists and cancer immunologists at top universities and research centers around the world. The Cancer Research Institute provides funding to ensure that the most promising postdoctoral scientists receive the critical financial support and continued career training needed to pursue their lifesaving work.<\/p>\n

The main goal of the project is to study how phagocytes maintain volume homeostasis and immune tolerance during apoptotic cancer cell clearance with the following aims. The first aim is to delineate a mechanism of phagocyte volume regulation during apoptotic cancer cell clearance.\u00a0The second aim is to target identified components of the phagocyte volume regulation machinery to boost both cancer cell clearance and the anti-tumor immune response.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
