Mini-Med Podcast: COVID-19/Charlottesville
New UVA Mini-Med YouTube channel to feature special podcast, “COVID-19/Charlottesville"
We are excited to announce the official launch of the UVA Mini-Med School YouTube Channel and the release of our special podcast series, “COVID-19/Charlottesville”!
Given the rapidly evolving information and uncertainty surrounding the COVID19 pandemic, the Mini-Medical School team wanted to gather information straight from experts here at UVA and make this information available on-line to the Charlottesville community. All 12 segments of the podcast, which cover topics ranging from the availability of testing with Dr. Amy Mathers, to racial disparities with Dr. Taison Bell, were written and produced by third and fourth year UVA medical students with guidance from Dr. Sean Reed, the Director of the UVA Mini-Medical School program. We are grateful to the many individuals who volunteered their time to make this presentation.
Please enjoy the Mini-Med School COVID-19 podcast and help us get the word out about this new resource! It is unclear when we will be able to resume our traditional in-person program, but our hope is that our YouTube channel will serve as an additional medium to continue empowering the greater Charlottesville community with practical medical knowledge.
