Geoff Norris

Currently, I am a fifth-year Ph.D. candidate in the Neuroscience Graduate Program at UVA. I graduated from Gettysburg College in 2009 with a degree in biology and neuroscience. My research is concerning the role that immune cells of the CNS play in homeostasis and aging. My current projects include examining the molecular machinery that allows microglia to respond to CNS injury and how this is affected with aging. Additionally, I am examining the role of T regulatory cells in aging, specifically how they contribute to immunosuppression and cognitive decline that is seen in aged animals.
