Sandro Da Mesquita

SandroDuring my PhD I was focused on studying the changes in the neuroinflammatory response, particularly at the level of the blood-cerebrospinal fluid barrier, in Alzheimer’s disease. Currently, as a postdoctoral fellow in the Kipnis lab, I’m using different models of Alzheimer’s disease and a diverse set of biochemical and imaging techniques to investigate the role of the newly described meningeal lymphatic vessels both in the clearance of amyloid peptides from the brain and ultimately in rodent behavior.
