Hematopathology Fellowship
Program Overview
The Department of Pathology at the University of Virginia Health System offers two fellowship positions in Hematopathology. The fellowship includes one year of training in diagnostic Hematopathology, which is ACGME accredited, and is designed to offer the trainee an extensive exposure to all aspects of diagnostic Hematopathology, including lymph node and bone marrow pathology, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, molecular genetics, cytogenetics, general hematology and coagulation.
Applicants must have an M.D. or D.O. degree (or foreign equivalent with ECFMG certification) and be board eligible or certified in anatomic and clinical pathology.
Stipend is commensurate with the applicant’s postgraduate training in pathology.

Interested candidates should submit the Fellowship Application, current CV, 3 letters of recommendation, personal statement, medical school transcript, and a copy of the USMLE transcript. Electronic submission is preferred. Applications will be accepted starting July 1st, twenty-four months prior to the start date, and positions will remain open until filled.
