Daniel W. “Trey” Lee, III, M.D. UVA Assistant Professor of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology<\/p><\/div>\n

The Department of Pathology recently hosted its 14th<\/sup> Annual Research Day for Pathology faculty, staff, and trainees. This year, our department was honored to feature a keynote address from Dr. Daniel W. \u201cTrey\u201d Lee, III, M.D., Assistant Professor of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at the University of Virginia.<\/p>\n

Dr. Lee was an early proponent of CAR T cell therapy, and his address entitled \u201cCAR T Cells Past and Present: The Final Frontier?\u201d discussed this treatment and its growing importance in the field of healthcare.<\/p>\n

Research Day also included two poster sessions and three podium sessions highlighting research from graduate trainees in the department. At the end of all sessions, faculty were invited to vote on the 2018 Prize Winners out of a total of 23 posters and 11 podium presentations.<\/p>\n
