You may also wish to look at the overview of the <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/med.virginia.edu\/gme\/salary-benefits\/\"><em>Salary and Benefits<\/em><\/a><em> package for pediatric residents.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>International Graduates<\/h2>\n<p>Requirements for graduates from medical schools outside the United States are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least two months of clinical experience in the United States, with evaluations from each experience as part of your application<\/li>\n<li>A valid certificate issued by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ecfmg.org\/\">Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates<\/a> (ECFMG)<\/li>\n<li>A minimum Step I <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usmle.org\/\">USMLE<\/a> score of 215<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aamc.org\/services\/eras\/\">ERAS<\/a> service we use to receive all applications for residency is available to students and graduates of medical schools outside the United States through the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ecfmg.org\/\">ECFMG<\/a> which serves as your designated Dean\u2019s office. We seek a racially, ethnically and gender diverse intern class for 2019. In the wake of the white supremacist rally in August 2017, we recognize that applicants might have questions about the environment regarding diversity and inclusion at UVA. The Graduate Medical Education Committee is sponsoring a variety of <a href=\"https:\/\/med.virginia.edu\/gme\/firstlook\/\"><strong>Diversity Days<\/strong> <\/a>throughout the interview season. During this half day event there will be either a morning or afternoon meal (depending on the date) with speakers from UVA and the Charlottesville community. Ample time to informally talk to these individuals (who will include faculty, house staff and medical students and community members) is built into the day. If this is important to your understanding of and interest in UVA please request to interview on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 and plan to stay for a second night OR (2) please let us know if you would like to participate in one of these special activities.
