{"id":1360,"date":"2016-11-29T09:51:17","date_gmt":"2016-11-29T14:51:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/med.virginia.edu\/perceptual-studies\/?page_id=1360"},"modified":"2024-12-19T09:29:44","modified_gmt":"2024-12-19T14:29:44","slug":"funding-opportunities","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/med.virginia.edu\/perceptual-studies\/funding-opportunities\/","title":{"rendered":"Support Our Research"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><span style=\"color: #508296\"><strong>As we continue to\u00a0celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Division of Perceptual Studies, we recognize that this is a\u00a0critical transitional time in our research efforts, as we strive to expand and intensify our work.<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #508296\">We have identified projects that have the potential to advance this field of study worldwide and strengthen the already strong case for an alternative to conventional physicalism. \u00a0Some are brand new, while others will expand our previous research efforts and build upon their promising results. \u00a0They all require additional funding, so please read about the many funding opportunities available:<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #508296\"><strong><a style=\"color: #508296\" href=\"https:\/\/med.virginia.edu\/perceptual-studies\/funding-and-financial-support\/\">Sponsor a Research Program<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We are seeking funds to support specific research projects or areas of research such as the past-life memories studies, near-death experience studies, deathbed and hospice studies and psi\/ASC neuroimaging studies.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #508296\"><strong><a style=\"color: #508296\" href=\"https:\/\/med.virginia.edu\/perceptual-studies\/funding-and-financial-support\/\">Sponsor Named Fellowships<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Creating a named Division of Perceptual Studies fellowship program at UVA will provide support for up to five individuals, including post-doctoral fellows and junior faculty, who could lead or assist with projects and programs such as the deathbed\/hospice studies, mediumship studies, database development and analysis, and the neuroimaging program.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #508296\"><strong><a style=\"color: #508296\" href=\"https:\/\/med.virginia.edu\/perceptual-studies\/funding-and-financial-support\/\">Sponsor the Ian Stevenson Consciousness Research Conference or Lecture Series<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Division of Perceptual Studies wants to host events for the UVA community as well as a small scientific conference on an annual basis. \u00a0This important work brings together a community of like-minded individuals and organizations aligned with the Division of Perceptual Studies mission. \u00a0It also creates an on-going platform to build awareness around the latest advances in consciousness research.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #508296\">Thank You for Your Support!<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As we continue to\u00a0celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Division of Perceptual Studies, we recognize that this is a\u00a0critical transitional time in our research efforts, as we strive to expand and intensify our work.
