Final exercises are this weekend and we say farewell and congratulations to Janelle Weaver<\/strong> (Bayliss lab<\/a>), who is earning her PhD. Earlier this year, Janelle receive the 2016 Outstanding Graduate Student Award and\u00a0her research on\u00a0Pannexin 1 channels in models of neuropathic pain was funded by\u00a0a Ruth L. Kirschstein Predoctoral Fellowship from the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke that she received in 2014. Truly a pleasure to have around, Janelle will be missed by many — please join us in wishing her well as she returns this fall to Medical School at UVA, where she is enrolled in the Medical Scientist Training Program.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
