Dr. Larner maintained an active role in the department well into his retirement &#8212; he faithfully attended our annual retreats (and could be seen playing football with our graduate students) and regularly attended our weekly Journal Clubs and Seminars, until a month before his death. He will be missed by many. A <strong>memorial service<\/strong> is scheduled for <strong>2:00 p.m. <\/strong>on <strong>March 23, 2014<\/strong> at the <strong>UVA Chapel<\/strong>.
