She is a physician\u2011scientist trained through the University of Virginia Medical Scientist Training Program and completed her internal medicine residency and endocrinology fellowship at Washington University\/Barnes\u2011Jewish Hospital. Dr. DiGruccio\u2019s research focuses on pancreatic islet biology, beta\u2011cell primary cilia, and paracrine signaling mechanisms relevant to diabetes pathophysiology, with current NIH\u2011funded work examining calcium\u2011mediated signaling in beta\u2011cell cilia. Clinically, she specializes in diabetes and complex endocrine disorders, and she is actively involved in clinical trials advancing diabetes therapeutics. Dr. DiGruccio has authored numerous peer\u2011reviewed publications, contributes to national endocrine societies, and is committed to mentoring trainees while integrating translational research with patient\u2011centered endocrine care.<\/span><\/div>\n<div aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Segoe UI;font-size: small\">Dr. DiGruccio was previously a graduate student in the lab of Dr. Norbert Leitinger.
