Dr. Jennie Ma is a Professor of Biostatistics at the University of Virginia, with a secondary appointment in Nephrology. Her research interests mainly focus on clinical outcomes research, longitudinal data analysis, survival analysis, and clinical trials. As a biostatistician, Jennie has collaborated with many clinical investigators and contributed significantly to a broad range of clinical and biomedical studies for more than 20 years, such as research in nephrology, infectious disease, cardiology, and drug addictions. In these studies, Jennie has provided pivotal biostatistical support to every stage of the clinical and translational research, including study conception and design, acquisition of data, selection of appropriate and cutting-edge statistical methods, statistical analysis and interpretation, and scientific reporting. With sustaining efforts, she has authored and co-authored over 150 peer-reviewed publications including many top journals such as NEJM, JAMA, and Lancet.  She has served on the Editorial Board for a clinical journal, as well as on the Protocol Review Board and the Data and Safety Monitoring Board for the Clinical Trials Network of NIDA, NIH.
