Neurocognitive Studies

The Neurocognitive Studies Section is a clinical, research, and teaching center within the Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences that is comprised of four divisions: the Behavioral Medicine Center (with the Virginia Driving Safety Laboratory); the Neurocognitive Assessment Laboratory (with the Brain Injury and Sports Concussion Institute); Geriatric Psychiatry; and Electroencephalographic Studies.  The Neurocognitive Studies Section strives to create synergies between psychology and psychiatry faculty to encourage and promote quality clinical services, innovative research, and unique specialty educational opportunities within the Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences and the University of Virginia Health System.
