Bender, PhD, ABPP-CN (part-time)<\/li>\n<li>James Mahoney, PhD (part-time)<\/li>\n<li>Racheal Smetana, PsyD, ABPP-CN<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Psychometrists:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Merry Kelty (Supervisor)<\/li>\n<li>Jessica James<\/li>\n<li>Monica Sarker<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Clinical:<\/strong> The Neuropsychology Assessment Clinic specializes in the assessment of brain health, providing information about cognitive and behavioral strengths and weaknesses in relationship to neurological and medical conditions, and offering recommendations for treatment and rehabilitation. Neuropsychological assessments consist of standardized, individually administered tests that provide a profile of each patient\u2019s strengths and weaknesses as well as pattern of performance. Adult patients are referred for outpatient assessments by many medical specialties including Neurology, Neurosurgery, Internal Medicine, and Psychiatry. The most common referral questions relate to the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Traumatic brain injury and other neurological trauma<\/li>\n<li>Sports-related concussion<\/li>\n<li>Epilepsy<\/li>\n<li>Cerebrovascular accidents (i.e., stroke) and vascular disease<\/li>\n<li>Neoplastic disease<\/li>\n<li>Central nervous system infection<\/li>\n<li>Memory impairment in individuals under the age of 65<\/li>\n<li>Neuropsychological aspects of general medical conditions (e.g., organ transplant, lupus)<\/li>\n<li>Post-operative cognitive dysfunction<\/li>\n<li>Living organ donation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Education:<\/strong> The Neuropsychology Assessment Clinic faculty members have primary responsibility for training postdoctoral fellows in Clinical Neuropsychology. These faculty members are also primary supervisors for psychology graduate students, as well as psychiatry residents who rotate through our service.
