Canterbury, UVA Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry and former Wilford W. Spradlin Professor, recently received the Distinguished Service Award from the National Board of Medical Examiners.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Emeritus Canterbury started his work with the USMLE in 1996 upon the nomination of the American Psychiatric Association, serving in a variety of roles until 2023.
