[MUSIC PLAYING] Having grown up in Switzerland, we are very connected to nature. We are all the time out in the woods. Coming to Charlottesville felt really like coming home. The surroundings, the mountains, the hills-- it's just something that in a big city gets lost. And we felt that this is going to be home. One aspect of our new home that we are really thrilled about are the trails and the woods. We get out and are on a hiking trail. We can mountain bike there. A year ago, when I was trying to make my decision of where to move, I was looking around the country for a diverse community, a community that both challenged me professionally, but really had all of the quality of life pieces for me, whether that be a healthy focus, a wellness focus, and a music scene, a food scene, and an exercise scene. So Joanne's from Zimbabwe, and I'm from the Philippines. And it's really important for us to raise Thomas with a lot of culture in our lives. And we thought that Charlottesville just had so much of that, especially with the university. I mean, the best part about it is it's extremely accessible. Mike and I both grew up with the freedom to explore and not be so regimented all the time. And so we were looking for a place where we felt like Thomas could really have a childhood. And that's what we found in Charlottesville. The perfect Saturday for me would be, one, I think going to the farmers' market. It's a wonderful community feel, where people are really kind and caring and they are really engaging in a lot of ways that you don't see in many other places. What does home mean? Well, it's surely the place where you like to live and work at the same time. You're in an environment that just never cease to fascinate you by the beauty of the nature and the surroundings. By having such a high quality university, you have people from all over the world-- from the Far East, from the Middle East, from Europe, from Latin America, from Canada-- that just makes you feel being in a place where things are going to happen, where far-reaching areas are going to be influenced by the innovation and inventions that are going to be made at this place. Home is where my family is. And so we have found a place where we're really happy together and where we're excited for people to come and visit us and be part of our family. Home to me is a place that has a sense and feel of community where people are looking out for each other, they're invested in the town, there is a sense of cultural ethnic diversity, and there is a warmth and caring in the community. So many of my friends have asked, "Well, where is Charlottesville?" And I said, "Well, two hours from the ocean, two hours from Washington, DC, in the middle of hills and mountains. And you got to do about everything that is found in life." [MUSIC PLAYING]
